Hatim enthusiasm experienced in Şahin

The town of Sahin of Mustafçova Municipality of Xanthi hosted another magnificent hatim ceremony on Sunday 18 June. A complete example of solidarity was displayed in the hatim ceremony where messages of unity and solidarity were given.

Hatim ceremonies of the Qur'an Courses affiliated to the Mufti's Office of Xanthi continue.

On Sunday 18th June, thousands of cognates attended the hatim ceremony held in Şahin. There were also participants from neighbouring Bulgaria and motherland Türkiye.

The Qur'an and poems recited by the students trained by the teachers of Şahin Qur'an Course were listened with great appreciation by the participants. It was noteworthy that some elderly people who listened to the students shed tears of joy and happiness.

At the end of the programme, Mustafa Tarmpa, Mufti of Xanthi, performed the prayer.

After the prayer, ITB President Ozan Ahmteoğlu, WTMUGA President Hüseyin Baltacı, Mayor of Mustafçova Rıdvan Delihüseyin, Xanthi MPs Dr Burhan Baran and Hüseyin Zeybek made short greeting speeches congratulating the students, teachers and the people of Şahin who hosted the event.

After the speeches, flowers and gifts were given to the children who made the hatim.

Yunus Elmas, a member of the Board of Directors of BURA Association, also presented gifts to the students.

Ömer Hacı Karaamet, who ranked first in Türkiye, recited the noon adhan.

After the noon prayer led by Mufti Trampa, all guests were served pilaf with meat and ayran.

After the ceremony and the pilaf, the guests also visited the Şahin Foundation and had the opportunity to chat with the compatriots from Şahin in the coffee shop.

Besides Mufti of Xanthi Mustafa Trampa, Deputy Mufti Ahmet Hraloğlu, Xanthi MPs Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, Mayor of Mustafçova Rıdvan Delihüseyin, President of WTMUGA Hüseyin Baltacı, President of Xanthi Turkish Union Ozan Ahmetoğlu, Medeniyet University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Tuncay Başoğlu, Istanbul Provincial Culture and Culture Professor Prof. Dr. Tuncay Başoğlu from Turkey attended the ceremony. Tuncay Başoğlu, Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Dr. Coşkun Yılmaz, Board Member Yunus Elmas representing BURA Association, President of the main opposition list of Mustafçova Municipality Cemil Kabza, Opposition Presidents Ahmet Kurt and Önder Meçoğlu, Mücahit Dükkancı, one of the former presidents, religious officials, NGO representatives and many cognates attended the ceremony.
