The 2025 hatim ceremonies organized by the Iskeçe Mufti’s Office commenced with a special ceremony held at the Çay Mahalle Qur'an course on Sunday, April 13. The ceremony, which attracted a large crowd, was a significant event for the local community, marking the beginning of the annual series of hatim events.

In an official statement released by the Mufti’s Office, it was noted that the ceremony was attended by Mustafa Kamu, the Personnel Branch Manager of the Mufti’s Office, who was there on behalf of the President of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and Iskeçe’s esteemed Mufti, Mustafa Trampa. He conveyed greetings and congratulations on behalf of the Mufti, as well as a message of congratulations from the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, who could not attend due to a busy schedule.

Notable attendees included Iskeçe Minority MP Burhan Baran, Deputy Regional President İrfan Hacıgene, regional council members, Mustafçova Municipality Mayor Ahmet Kurt and council members, DEB Party Deputy Chair Bahri Belço, former Mustafçova Mayor Cemil Kabza, Mufti’s Office religious staff, representatives from various institutions, and a large number of community members.

The ceremony itself, led by Ayhan Hacıkaraahmet, the Imam of Çay Mahalle and Qur’an course instructor, was praised for the successful performance of the Qur'an course students, who delivered the hatim beautifully, earning admiration from the attendees.

In his closing remarks, the Mufti’s Office expressed congratulations to Ayhan Hacıkaraahmet and his students for their outstanding achievement and extended gratitude to the local villagers who contributed to organizing the event.

At the end of the ceremony, participants were treated to a meal of pilaf with meat and ayran. The Iskeçe Mufti’s Office concluded the event with prayers for continued success and blessings.
