Grigoris Stogiannidis appointed SYRIZA coordinator
İskeçe (Xanthi) has completed the formation of its new Prefectural Committee following the session of the Prefectural Conference on Thursday, November 13, 2025, attended by the party’s Deputy Secretary, Anastasia Sapouna. The process is part of the party’s reorganization of local structures in the İskeçe (Xanthi) Regional Unit, in line with the 2025 internal election regulations and party statutes.
On November 21, the nine-member committee was formally constituted, appointing Grigoris Stogiannidis as Coordinator and Charikleia Giannakidou as Deputy Coordinator. The newly elected committee, chosen unanimously, maintains gender balance as required by party rules. Its members are:

In a statement, SYRIZA-P.S. Xanthi (İskeçe) said the new committee will advance the party’s political presence with a “unified and clear programmatic message,” guided by the decisions of the party’s 5th Congress and the values of the left and progressive movement.
