Graduate from Gümülcine earns honors degree in physics from METU
Hasan completed his primary education at the Payamdere Turkish Minority Primary School before enrolling at Celal Bayar Minority Middle and High School in Gümülcine in 2015. After graduating as the top student of his class in 2021, he continued his education in Türkiye by gaining admission to METU's Department of Physics.
He successfully completed the university's English preparatory program during the 2021–2022 academic year before beginning his undergraduate studies in physics. Between 2022 and 2026, Hasan maintained a high academic standing and graduated with the university's "Honors Student" distinction.
Among 223 senior students in the Department of Physics, Hasan ranked within the top 30 of his graduating class. Alongside his academic achievements, he actively participated in scientific research throughout his undergraduate studies.
His research paper, *Visible and SWIR Star Tracker Optical System Design*, has been submitted to the *Journal of the Optical Society of America A*, one of the leading international journals in the field of optics. The study has received initial acceptance, while revisions requested during the peer-review process have been completed and the manuscript is currently undergoing final evaluation.
Hasan is now preparing to continue his academic career in Germany. He has been admitted to the Abbe School of Photonics at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where he will pursue a master's degree in photonics. In addition, he will work as an Optical Design Engineer at an optical design company based in Germany.
