“Golden Age” emphasis for basma-type tobacco

Ahmet stated that the cooperative participated in the anniversary events upon an official invitation from the SEKAP JTI Board of Directors, emphasizing that the information shared by company officials was of great importance for producers.

According to Ahmet, factory representatives underlined that basma-type tobacco produced within the cooperative is a highly valuable product in the production process. He stressed that basma tobacco is currently in strong demand on the market and that this demand is expected to continue in the coming years.

He further noted that if the quality of regional tobacco is enhanced beyond its current level, basma-type tobacco could experience a “golden age” in terms of pricing. Ahmet described this prospect as a significant opportunity for tobacco producers.

Concluding his remarks, Ahmet stated that SEKAP JTI’s 50th anniversary events delivered positive messages for the future of the sector and emphasized the importance of continued quality-focused production by tobacco growers.
