Gastronomy festival and traditional dessert competition from Yassıköy Municipality

Organized by the Municipality of Yassıköy under the auspices of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the festival will feature not only local flavors but also cultural and musical events.

The highlight will be the 1st Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Traditional Dessert Competition. Only residents of the region may participate. The competition will be supervised and judged by renowned chef Anastasios Aroutsidis, four distinguished chefs from the Hellenic Chefs’ Association, and six assistant chefs from the local area.

Participation is free and individual. Each contestant must bring four plates of their homemade dessert for presentation. The competition will be held openly to the public, who will also have the chance to taste the creations. Winners will receive cash prizes, while all participants will receive commemorative gifts.

The festival will take place at the new Yassıköy municipal building, starting at 11:30 a.m. The deadline for applications is Friday, September 26, with participation rules and application forms available at www.iasmos.gr.
