Fishing is prohibited in the Kuruçay (Komsatos), Poşpoş (Vasvoz), Kocaçay (Lissos) rivers and their spillways, lakes and lakes within the borders of the Rhodope province.

In Xanthi, it was stated that fishing is temporarily prohibited in the Lake Vistonida, Kosinthos, and Karasu (Nestos) rivers as well as the area where these rivers flow.
According to the statement made by the East Macedonian Thrace State Presidency, fishing was banned within the borders of the Rhodope region between April 15 and May 30, 2022 in order to increase and protect the reproduction of similar species, especially fish.
It was stated that the ban in question also applies to the rivers of the State in other provinces.
