FEP Party: “Our support to Xanthi Turkish Union will be endless”

FEP Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu visited the Xanthi Turkish Union with her team and conveyed the party's support to the management.

The Western Thrace Turkish Minority people and non-governmental organizations reacted to the Xanthi Prosecutor's Office's initiation of an investigation against the ITB, 7 months after the democratic march for rights in Xanthi, which was organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union following all procedures.

The elected muftis of the minority and the managers of non-governmental organizations, who reacted to the prosecution's initiation of an investigation FEP party visited the Xanthi Turkish Union and delivered the message "We are with you" to the president and the administration of ITB.

The Friendship Equality Peace Party, which reacted to the investigation, did not leave the ITB administration alone.

By today’s visit,  the  party chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu and other administrators expressed their support to the ITB administration.

After the visit, a statement was made by the party. The following information was included in the statement on the subject;

“FEP Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu and FEP Party Executives visited Xanthi Turkish Union on Monday, February 14th.

The visit was held to announce our support to the ITB President, Mr. Ozan Ahmetoğlu, and the ITB administrators, due to the opening of an investigation into the march organized by the Xanthi Turkish Union in July 2021.

During the visit, Ozan Ahmetoğlu informed the FEP Party executives about the investigation process.

As FEP Party, we would like to emphasize once again that our support in the pursuit of rights of Xanthi Turkish Union will be endless.
