FEP Party Chairman Asafoğlu attends the seminar in Istanbul
Çiğdem Asafoğlu, Chairman of the Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party, attended the international seminar on "Human Rights Violations Against Muslims" held in Istanbul.
A delegation representing the Western Thrace Turkish Minority attended the international seminar on "Human Rights Violations Against Muslims" organized in Istanbul by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
FEP Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu was also present from the Western Thrace delegation.
The party made a statement regarding the seminar and the participation of the chairman Asafoğlu, stating:

FEP Party Chairman Çiğdem Asafoğlu, together with the Chairman of the Advisory Board, its Members and Minority representatives attended the "Human Rights Violations Against Muslims" seminar organized in Istanbul by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. He participated in the international seminar on ''.
In the seminar, the Elected Mufti of Komotini and the Chairman of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board, İbrahim Şerif informed the participants about the restrictions in the field of religious freedom experienced by the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority, the injustices suffered by the elected clergy and the problem of the mufti.
We would like to thank the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, who organized this seminar, where important issues such as human rights and freedom of religion were discussed and our problems were expressed.
