Farmers clarify which vehicles pass freely and without delay through the Gümülcine roadblock
Farmers and livestock breeders stationed at the Gümülcine roadblock issued a new statement aiming to clear up confusion regarding vehicle passage. They stressed once again that their mobilization is not intended to cause inconvenience or disrupt the normal functioning of society.
According to their announcement, the following categories of vehicles pass freely and without any delay through the roadblock:
- All security and emergency forces (Army, Police, Fire Brigade, Coast Guard, etc.)
- Ambulances, urgent medical transport, and private health-related cases
- Children’s buses, school trips, and school-related transportation
- Vulnerable social groups and citizens with serious mobility needs
- Any citizen in genuine need, following communication with the farmers on site
The farmers emphasize that their struggle is fair and targets “an immediate and substantial solution to the serious problems faced by the primary sector, both for farmers and livestock breeders.”
They underline their solidarity with the local community:
“Just as society stands by us, we also stand by society. We thank you for your understanding, patience, and support.”
