Electronic traffic accident recording system under discussion in the EMT Region
The first working meeting on the introduction of an electronic system for recording traffic accidents and incidents in the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) Region was held on Wednesday, December 17, in Gümülcine.
The meeting was attended by EMT Regional Governor Christodoulos Topsidis and Deputy Regional Governor for Transport and Communications Irfan Hacigene.
The initiative, launched by the General Directorate of Transport and Communications, also brought together representatives of the Police, the Fire Service, and EKAB (the National Emergency Aid Center). The planned electronic application aims to systematically record traffic accidents, enable data analysis, and support the development of more effective road safety policies across the region.
