Topsidis promises to end the problem on the Minority Education

Christodoulos Topsidis, Candidate for the Presidency of Eastern Macedonian Thrace, visited the students and parents in Xanthi who have been protesting for 4 days in front of the Xanthi (Turkish) Minority Secondary School and High School "No to shift education".
Addressing the people gathered in front of the school, Topsidis stated that "All children should have equal rights and equal opportunities", that the Minority deserves better education, that their demands on this issue are justified and promised to eliminate all problems if elected.
TOPSIDIS: WE PROMISE TO ELIMINATE THIS PROBLEM
The region presidential candidate Topsidis and the minority member of the provincial assembly candidates in his list came to Xanthi Minority Secondary School High School on Thursday morning, 21 September and met with the students, parents and minority members there. Stating that they visited the students and parents at the school in order to emphasise some issues, Topsidis said: "Minority students are equal to other students in the whole Eastern Macedonian Thrace Province. They have the same rights. We want to make a promise in the presence of the students here. One of the first things to be implemented as of 1 January, when we will take over the office, will be the issue of prefabricated classrooms, which were promised to you before but not fulfilled. We will realise this. What will they say 15 days before the elections? Will they say they will do this? How will they do it? They won't be in office anyway. What needs to be done urgently Prefabricated classrooms should be built. so that children don't have to study in the afternoon. The second stage is the construction of a new school building. All children should have equal rights and equal opportunities. Our region assembly member İrfan Hacıgene has brought the issue of this school building to the region assembly five times. He received no answer. The answers he received were cursory."
HACIGENE: THIS SCHOOL WILL BE BUILT WHETHER SOMEONE WANTS SO OR NOT
Irfan Hacıgene, who is currently the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of the Province of Eastern Macedonia Thrace from Topsidis' list and a candidate for the region assembly in the 8 October elections, said that the administration does not know the problem and is not really interested in it. Hacıgene said, "We are EU citizens. We have equal rights. As a list, we promise that this project will be realised. This school will be built whether someone wants it or not."
