Determination of damage caused by fires will be completed tomorrow
Nikos Chalikidis, Deputy Head of State for the Prefecture of Rodopi and Mayor of Yassıköy Mümin Mümin, together with two delegations from the Directorate for Natural Disaster Relief of Northern Greece under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, visited the areas affected by the fire yesterday (Wednesday 23 August). Siriza MP Özgür Ferhat and Deputy Region President Ahmet Ibram were also present during the visit.
Nikos Chalikidis, who made statements during the visit to the region, said that two separate delegations started the damage assessment works in the region. It was stated that the work started first in Susurköy and Narlıköy, which suffered the most damage, and that work will be carried out in other villages respectively.
Damage assessment works are planned to be completed on Friday, 25 August.
