The counterfeit products were found in two trucks belonging to an Albanian transport company, which were traveling from Türkiye to Albania. Specifically, in the first truck, officers discovered 9,054 packages of 2 kg detergent powder and 8,094 bottles of 360 ml shampoo. The second truck was carrying 1,400 packages of 1.5 kg detergent powder, 3,564 packages of 2 kg detergent, and 540 packages of 10 kg detergent.

The AADE’s report for this period also highlights another success by the Orestiada Customs office, where a café-bar in Didymoteicho was found to be selling 19 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 2 kg of Turkish-origin shisha tobacco without paying the required taxes to the Greek state. The establishment did not have the necessary customs clearance, leading to its closure and the public disclosure of the violations and penalties.
