Consulate General of Komotini pays support visit to the young national teams participating in the tournament in Evros
Star and Youth National teams from Türkiye participated in the tournament.
On Wednesday 25 June, Ali Tosun, Consul General of the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini visited the tournament held in the indoor sports hall in Kumçiftliği and supported the young national teams.
In the post made on the social media account of the Consulate General of Türkiye in Komotini regarding the visit, "Our Star and Junior Girls Teams finished the team matches of the Table Tennis Star-Junior Balkan Championship held in Kumçiftliği in 2nd place. The championship continues until 28 June. We congratulate our ranked teams and wish success to our individual, double and mixed teams that will compete in the competitions."
In the Balkan Championships, the national teams from Turkey achieved two second places. The Star Girls National Team, which was defeated by Greece in the final, and the Young Girls National Team, which was defeated by Romania in the final, became the 2nd in the Balkan. Star Boys National Team, on the other hand, lost to Serbia in the 3rd place match and came 4th in the Balkan Championship.
