Consul General Aykut Unal meet with kinsmen in Sendelli
The Consul General of Türkiye in Komotini, Aykut Ünal, continues his programme of visits to the villages on Fridays and embraces with the kinsmen.
This week, Consul General Aykut Ünal paid a village visit to Sendelli village located within the borders of Yassıköy Municipality of Rhodope Province.
During the visit to Sendelli, Consul General Ünal was accompanied by vice Consul General Barış Çulha, President of the Advisory Board of the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and Mufti of Komotini İbrahim Şerif, President of Komotini Turkish Youth Union Sedat Hasan and Civil Engineer İbrahim Kamil.
Consul General Ünal and other guests were welcomed by Yassıköy Mayor Caner İmam, Deputy Mayors Mehmet Arif, Müjdat Kara Hasan, Kubilay Manko Mehmet, together with the cognates residing in Sendelli.
Consul General Ünal, who met with the cognates within the scope of the Friday visit, stood in line with them in the mosque of the village and performed Friday prayers, chatted with the cognates outside the prayer and made up with them.
In the post made on the social media accounts of the Consulate General in Komotini regarding the visit, it was stated that "We were the guests of our compatriots in the village of Rodopi/Sendelli. We thank our compatriots for their invitation."
