Concert in Athens for the benefit of Greek Minority Schools on Gökçeada

A concert is being organized in Athens to support the Greek minority schools on Gökçeada (Imbros). All proceeds from the event will be donated to the schools. The concert is scheduled to take place on Sunday evening, September 29, at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Prominent Greek artists, including Yorgos Dalaras, Glykeria, Pantelis Thalassinos, Ross Daly, Nikos Xydakis, and Manolis Mitsias, will perform at the event. The announcement emphasized that the Greek minority schools, reopened after 50 years, play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the culture and language of the island’s minority community.
In addition to the famous performers, the Contemporary Music Orchestra and the ERT Orchestra, led by Yorgos Aravidis, will also take part in the event.
The concert is organized by the Imbros Association under the auspices of the Patriarchate of İstanbul. Patriarch Bartholomew is also expected to attend. Additionally, a bank account has been opened in Greece to support the Greek minority schools on Gökçeada.
