Candidate lists announced for Xanthi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Elections
The candidate lists have been announced for the upcoming elections for the Xanthi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, set to take place on December 1 and 2, 2024. Incumbent president Stelyos Moraitis leads a slate of 69 candidates, while challenger Marianthi Malliaroudaki presents a team of 51.
Moraitis emphasizes his long-standing experience and the stability he brings to the role. His list, “Independent Chamber of Xanthi,” includes a diverse group, with 23 members of the Turkish Minority among the candidates. Malliaroudaki, on the other hand, campaigns for change and a fresh approach with her “Strong Chamber” list, which includes 14 Turkish Minority members.
Both candidates are poised for a competitive race, with each slate aiming to appeal to the region’s commercial, manufacturing, and service sectors. The election is expected to draw significant interest as the candidates outline their visions for the future of the chamber and local economic development.
