Bus and car collide in Xanthi: 4 dead, 3 injured
A multi-fatal road accident occurred this morning (16/06) at Okçular on the Xanthi-Kavala road, when a bus and a car collided.
According to the first information, 4 of the 5 passengers in the car died and 3 people were injured in the accident which occurred around 08.00 in the morning. The 5th passenger in the car, who was seriously injured, was taken under treatment at Xanthi State Hospital due to skull and brain trauma and fractures.
The deceased were identified as two young women and two men aged 20-25.
According to the first information, the accident occurred when the car driver lost control due to excessive speed and hit the oncoming bus.
With the violence of the collision, the car almost disintegrated and 4 people died at the scene of the accident. It is stated that a second car was also involved in the accident.
The Fire Department shared information about the accident on its social media account.
Police launched an investigation to investigate the causes of the accident.
