“Bring your child and come to the morning prayer” program draws great interest in Seymen Village
The “Bring Your Child and Come to the Morning Prayer” initiative, organized by the Mufti Office of Gümülcine to encourage participation in congregational morning prayers, drew significant interest this week in Seymen, one of the plain-region villages. As the program approaches its final stops, attendance in Seymen was notably high.
Held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, the gathering welcomed Komotini Mufti İbrahim Şerif, Deputy Mufti Fehim Ahmet, President of the Western Thrace Association of Mosque Religious Officers Erol Yoluç, local residents, and religious officials from surrounding villages. As in previous events, the early-morning atmosphere inside the village mosque created a warm and vibrant setting.
Following the prayer, a communal breakfast was organized for participants who attended with their children and grandchildren. The event highlighted the religious and social significance of bringing different generations together in worship.
Officials from the Mufti Office emphasized that the program not only encourages congregational morning prayer but also helps pass on mosque culture to children, strengthens family unity in worship, and fosters solidarity among villages.
As the initiative nears its final destination, the strong participation and positive feedback across the region indicate that similar activities are likely to continue in the future.
