BİHLİMDER: "We will not sacrifice even a single ounce to Byzantine intrigues"
In their statement, BİHLİMDER denounced the actions, stressing the importance of standing firm against such provocations:
"On Friday, October 11, at Çınar Mosque, we witnessed an incident that we can never accept, and we refuse to believe it was a mere coincidence. When a person, created in the finest form and the most honorable of beings, loses sight of their place and the path they walk, we all witnessed the resulting disgrace.
Closing our eyes and ears to such scenes, which stem from a mentality that disregards everyone outside itself and respects no other opinion, would not change the reality. Those who have repeatedly used flowery words to undermine the minority have once again veered off course, opting for devious paths.
It does not need to be said extensively—what we possess is not a gift from anyone.
As the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish community, we will continue to protect what we have within the framework of rights and law until our last breath, to exist with them, and to walk our path as upright human beings.
We have neither the intention nor the capacity to compromise our civilization, identity, beliefs, or values for material gain.
Despite all the resources and lawlessness at their disposal, their helplessness has been laid bare for all to see. We firmly believe that they will never find eternal peace and happiness; they will drown in their hatred and anger and be remembered in history for these very traits. We will not sacrifice even a single ounce to such petty tricks or Byzantine intrigues."
BİHLİMDER's statement reflects the strong stance of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish minority in defending their rights and heritage against external provocations.
