Being a Woman in the Balkan Region project, organized by the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association and the Xanthi Mufti Office, started.
Being a Woman in the Balkan Region project, organized by the Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association and the Xanthi Mufti Office, started in the villages of Şahin (Echinos), Gökçepınar (Glafki) and Ketenlik (Kentavros) in Xanthi.
Within the scope of the project, the guests of the 1st Week were Friendship Equality Peace Party President Çiğdem Asafoğlu and Religious Officer of the Xanthi Mufti Office Emine Palazlı.
While DEB President Çiğdem Asafoğlu made a presentation on "The place of Western Thrace women in the family and society from past to present", Mrs. Emine Palazlı talked about "The cultural development of the phenomenon of women and the place and importance of women in Islam".
The presentations of the speakers in the project, in which women showed great interest in Şahin, Gökçepınar and Ketenlik villages, were carefully followed by the women.
The project, which was realized with the organization of Western Thrace Minority Graduates Association and Xanthi Mufti Office, started on Wednesday, 23 February at 19:00 at Şahin Karaca Ayşe Cultural Center under the umbrella of Şahin Education and Culture Association. Presentations of the first week of the project continued on Saturday, February 26 in Gökçepınar and Ketenlik villages. The project, in which women showed great interest in both Gökçepınar and Ketenlik Library, will continue with different topics and guests next week.
Visit to the Mayor
Sevcan Hacıali and Gülcan Mümin, who are responsible for the project Being a Woman in the Balkan Region, visited the Mayor of Mustafçova Rıdvan Delihüseyin in his office to give information about the project.
Expressing his satisfaction about the visit and the information, Mayor Delihüseyin made the following statements on his social media account on Wednesday, February 23:
