BAKEŞ officials attend İskeçe Turkish Union Youth Meeting to engage with young participants
Representatives of the Western Thrace Minority Culture and Education Company (BAKEŞ) participated in the latest edition of the “Youth Meetings” program organized by the Youth Branch of the İskeçe Turkish Union (İTB), engaging directly with young attendees on education, culture, and publishing activities.
The session featured BAKEŞ President Dr. Hüseyin Bostancı and Personnel Manager Özcan Mehmet as guest speakers.
During the event, which drew strong interest from young participants, the guests provided detailed information about BAKEŞ’s founding mission, areas of activity, and organizational structure. They also outlined the institution’s work in education, cultural development, and publishing, including the regions where BAKEŞ-affiliated educational institutions operate.
BAKEŞ Publications were also introduced during the program, offering participants insight into the organization’s printed works and educational projects.
In the Q&A segment, young attendees had the opportunity to directly address questions to BAKEŞ officials, gaining a clearer understanding of the institution’s contributions to education, culture, and publishing within the Turkish minority community of Western Thrace.
Organizers stated that the “Youth Meetings” series continues to strengthen connections between young people and local institutions while providing access to key figures and educational opportunities in the region.
