Art to be displayed in shop windows across Komotini for World Art Day
In celebration of World Art Day, an initiative titled “Art in the windows of our city” will bring a creative touch to Komotini’s streets between April 10 and 15. The event is jointly organized by the Komotini Association of Shopkeepers and the Komotini House of Culture and Tradition.
LOCAL ART IN PUBLIC SPACES
As part of the event, stores throughout the city will transform their shopfronts into open galleries, displaying artworks by members of the Komotini Philotechnes Association. Residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to engage with local art in a unique and accessible format, experiencing creative works outside of traditional gallery spaces.
OPENING CEREMONY
The official opening will take place on Thursday, April 10, at 18:00 on Venizelou Street. Organizers hope the event will strengthen the bond between the local community and its artists while bringing greater visibility to the city’s cultural scene.
