Agnila Quran course hosts first Khatm ceremony of the year in Mustafçova
The Agnila Quran Course, operating under the Mufti Office of İskeçe, held a vibrant Quran completion (Khatm) ceremony on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Agnila village. The event marked the first of a series of Khatm ceremonies scheduled throughout the year within the Municipality of Mustafçova.
The ceremony stood out for its strong turnout and deeply spiritual atmosphere, bringing together families, local leaders, and members of the wider community.
Students Deliver Inspiring Performances
Students trained under the guidance of instructors Hasan Velibaşa and Mehmet Kır captivated the audience with Quran recitations, poems, and hymns. Their performances reflected months of dedication and were met with enthusiastic appreciation from attendees.
Closing Prayer and Remarks
The program concluded with a Khatm prayer led by Mustafa Kamo’nu, Head of Personnel at the Mufti Office. In his remarks, Kamo’nu highlighted the critical role of Quranic education in nurturing children’s spiritual and moral development.
Broad Community Participation
The ceremony welcomed a wide range of attendees, including Members of Parliament Hüseyin Zeybek and Burhan Baran, President of the İskeçe Turkish Union Kerem Abdurahimoğlu, as well as former mayors Cemil Kabza and Rıdvan Delihüseyin. Regional representatives, religious officials, parents, and numerous community members also attended.

Following the noon prayer, guests were served traditional dishes, including meat pilaf and ayran, adding a communal and cultural dimension to the gathering.
