An alarm was raised on Tuesday afternoon at the İskeçe Migrant Detention Center when an Afghan detainee was discovered unconscious inside his cell.

The man was immediately transferred to the General Hospital of İskeçe, where doctors made efforts to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead.
According to initial reports, the death is being recorded as sudden, while an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause.
