A closure case filed against the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association
A closure case has been filed against the Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association, which is headquartered in Komotini and has been officially established months ago.
Western Thrace Fenerbahce Association is an association approved by the court in accordance with Greek law and its statutes.
However, shortly after the association was founded, it began to be targeted by anti-Turkish politicians, retired members of the judiciary and the media in Greece.
The association was shown as a "national threat" and some extreme Greek fanatics in the Western Thrace region were offended by the expression "Western Thrace" in the name of the association.
Despite all these smear and attrition campaigns, the association continues its activities in line with the articles determined in the statute without compromising the laws.
However, with the statement sent to the press by the management of the association, it was announced to the public that a closure case was opened against the Western Thrace Fenerbahçeliler Association.
"WE WILL DEFEND OUR RIGHTS TO THE END"
Learning that a closure case has been filed, the management of the association made a statement on the social media account of the association and stated the following:
"With the court notification we received today, we have learned with great sadness that a case of closure has been filed against our association. Our association, which was established within the framework of Greek laws, including our establishment phase, has not engaged in any work or activity other than our statute. Our association has become a target with unfounded claims and prejudices. "No one should doubt that we will defend it to the end. It should not be forgotten that we are just a supporters' association."
