4 books were presented at BİHLIMDER Cultural Centre
Within the framework of the book promotions of Bağlar Magazine, four different books were presented at the Cultural Centre of Western Thrace Imam Hatip High School Graduates and Members Association (BİHLİMDER) in Komotini.
In the event which started at 18.30 on Saturday evening, the poetry book "Close to the Sun" (Güneşe Yakın) by Müberra Karadayı, a poet from Xanthi, and the short story book "To the Remnants" (Kalanlara) by Hüseyin Mehmet, a writer from Komotini, as well as the poetry book "The Poet Who Burned His Divan" (Divanını Yakan Şair) by Mehmet Arif from North Macedonia and the short story book "Faces Without Cover" (Örtüsüz Yüzler) by Medadin Limani from Western Thrace were introduced.
The event was hosted by Esma Deli Hasan, a graduate of the Department of Contemporary Greek Language and Literature at Trakya University in Edirne and a writer.
Authors took the floor in the rest of the programme. Firstly, Hüseyin Mehmet from Komotini, Concessionaire of Fiyaka Magazine from Western Thrace and author of the story book titled "Kalanlar", made a speech and told the participants about his interest in books and how his writing adventure started. Afterwards, Mehmet Arif from North Macedonia, the author of the poetry book titled "The Poet Who Burned His Divan", and Medadin Limani, the author of the short story book titled "Faces Without Cover", took the floor and talked about the books and the process of starting to be a writer.
Finally, Müberra Karadayı, the West Thracian author of the poetry book "Close to the Sun", took the floor and informed the participants about her authorship and the book she wrote.
After the authors shared their thoughts about themselves and their works, Abdürrahim Karadeniz, who participated in the book description event from Ankara, Turkey, took the floor and shared his ideas about the importance of writing books and how valuable books contribute to the survival of a language.
Within the scope of the promotional project supported by YTB, the books, which were introduced this evening at BİHLİMDER Cultural Centre in Komotini, will be introduced at the hall of Xanthi Turkish Union at 18:00 on Sunday, 12 November.
Book lovers will be able to obtain the books published by Uzam Publications after the promotion event.
