23rd Cherry Festival program announced
The full schedule for the 23rd Cherry Festival, jointly organized by the Municipality of Iasmos and the Bulatköy Cultural and Folklore Association, has been officially announced. The festival will take place over three days, from May 30 to June 1, 2025, in the village of Bulatköy (Asomati).
In a statement, the Municipality of Iasmos extended an open invitation to all, emphasizing that renowned artists from both Greece and Türkiye will take the stage during the festivities.
The festival promises a rich program featuring musical performances, traditional folk dances, cultural showcases, and family-friendly activities such as a Luna Park and exhibition stands from municipal departments. All events will be held at the concert area in Bulatköy and are free of charge.
Highlights of the Program:
May 30 (Friday): Festival opening, student performances, folk dances, concerts by local music associations, and the popular band GRUP LiVE.
May 31 (Saturday): Concerts by Sercan Erdinç, Dimitris Hristodoulakis, and Turkish pop star Mustafa Ceceli.
June 1 (Sunday): A culinary event featuring cherry-based treats by Komotini Vocational High School, folk dances by local associations, and performances by Triantafilos and Ece Mumay.
Additionally, free shuttle services will be provided between Komotini and Bulatköy on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
The 23rd Cherry Festival is expected to draw large crowds from across Western Thrace and neighboring regions, celebrating a shared cultural heritage through music, dance, and the region’s beloved fruit—cherries.
