Erdoğan: "Mitsotakis' visit is the last indicator of the will to open a new page in the relations between the two countries"

Erdoğan made statements after the Presidential Cabinet Meeting (20 May Monday) at the Presidential Complex.
Stating that the official visit of Prime Minister Kiryakos Mitsotakis to Türkiye was the latest indication of the will to open a new page in the relations between the two countries, Erdoğan expressed that they were pleased with the increase in contacts with Greece within the framework of neighbourly law without the intervention of third parties.
Erdoğan said, "Of course, we will not solve every problem with a few meetings. But we will not refrain from seeking grounds for compromise on issues where we have common interests. We are aware that this is a process that requires patience and resilience. We see that Mitsotakis shares the same feeling with us. Being aware of the risks, we will hopefully move the process forward with determination."
Stating that the distance travelled with Greece in a short period of time sets an example for other countries in the region, Erdoğan said that Türkiye has never and will never leave any extended hand in the air.
Erdoğan stated that there is no problem that cannot be solved on the basis of mutual respect and understanding.
