Consul General Koutras: “There is no problem with visas”

Greek Consul General Argyrios Koutras has rejected claims of difficulties in the visa application process, stating that there are currently no significant problems affecting applicants.
Speaking on visa procedures and bilateral mobility, Koutras said Greek authorities continue to process applications normally and are working to facilitate travel between Greece and Türkiye. He stressed that genuine tourism, business and cultural exchanges remain a priority and that applicants who meet the necessary requirements should not encounter obstacles in obtaining visas.
The remarks come amid continued public debate regarding Schengen visa procedures for Turkish citizens and growing demand for travel between the two neighboring countries. Greek diplomatic officials have repeatedly emphasized their commitment to improving services and supporting people-to-people contacts.
