557 years of rain prayer tradition continues
Within the scope of the rain prayer activities in the town, a hatim prayer was held after the morning prayer.
After the visit to the grave, noon prayer was performed in Çimencik locality, prayers were offered for rain and food was served.
Kalfat Mayor Salim Doğan stated that they will continue the tradition of rain prayer with the same belief and thanked those who contributed.
Bilal Demiryürek, President of Kalfat Foundation, explained that the rain prayer activities have been going on for centuries and said, "For the rain prayer, which we celebrated the 557th this year, our ancestors used to say, 'It is equal to Kırkpınar wrestling. For this reason, we are now handing over this tradition to young people. I would like to thank those who contributed."
