Western Thrace Taekwondo athlete Uzay Yaluç’s great success
Taekwondo athlete Uzay Yaluç, from Bekirli village of Yassıköy (Iasmos) Municipality, achieved a great success in the Greek Taekwondo Championship.
In the Greek Taekwondo Championship, held in Halkida, Greece, on November 5-6, 2022, in which 1,200 athletes participated, Taekwondo athlete Uzay Yaluç from Bekirli took the third place in Greece.
13-year-old Taekwondo athlete Uzay Yaluç, who grew up from the infrastructure of the AGS XANTHIS club, continues his steady rise. He has participated in to important tournaments before, also showed a high level performance in the Greek Taekwondo Championship.
Yaluç finished third in the championship by defeating its important rivals in the 37 kg. category.
Kostas Sidiropulos, the coach of the AGS XANTHIS club, stated that he is proud of the success of his student and said that he expects a Greek championship from his successful student in the tournaments they will participate in in the future.
Completing the Greek Taekwondo Championship with the third place, Uzay Yaluç stated that he wants to be the champion of Greece in the future. He said he loves what he does and he believes that he will work harder in line with this goal and achieve it.
Young Taekwondo athlete Uzay Yaluç achieved third place for the first time in Greece with his success.
No minority athlete has ever achieved this feat in national Taekwondo competitions. He is the first to achieve this degree.
