Bekirli Taekwondo Athlete Uzay Yaluç achieves another success
Uzay Yaluç, a talented taekwondo athlete from Bekirli village in Greece, recently showcased his skills at the High School Taekwondo Championship held in Serez on April 7, 2025. Organized by the Greek Taekwondo Federation, the championship attracted many athletes from across the country, competing in various age groups.
Uzay, a first-year high school student from the city of Xanthi, represented his village with pride in the 55 kg weight category. Out of 26 taekwondo athletes from 36 different high schools, he managed to clinch second place, earning a well-deserved medal. Along with the medal, Uzay also secured a valuable prize: a six-seat university scholarship quota.
Currently training at AGS XANTHIS Taekwondo School under the guidance of coach Kostas Sidiropulos, Uzay has demonstrated consistent excellence in taekwondo, having previously earned similar achievements in other tournaments. His hard work and dedication continue to yield impressive results, bringing further recognition to his village and school.
Uzay Yaluç’s achievement in this championship is another testament to his determination and skill in taekwondo, and it marks another step in his promising athletic career.
