Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler to officiate AEK vs. Olympiakos clash
Athens, 23 April 2025 – Turkish referee Halil Umut Meler, a FIFA badge holder, has been appointed to officiate the crucial Greek Super League playoff match between AEK and Olympiakos.
According to the Hellenic Football Federation, the Championship Round Week 4 fixture will take place on Sunday, 27 April at OPAP Arena in Athens. Meler will be joined on the field by assistant referees İbrahim Çağlar Uyarcan and Abdullah Bora Özkara.
The fourth official for the match will be Anastasios Papapetrou, while the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) duties will be handled by another Turkish official, Onur Özütoprak.
