Former national footballer Ersan Martin, who also wore Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor jerseys in Türkiye for a while, died due to an unrelenting illness.

Ersen Martin, who was in intensive care for a long time due to a ruptured aortic vein and then struggled with the disease, passed away at the age of 44.

Born in 1979 in Germany, Ersen Martin started his football career in Nürnberg. Ersen Martin also played for Beşiktaş, Siirtspor, Göztepe, Denizlispor, Ankaraspor, Trabzonspor, Sivasspor, Manisaspor, Kasımpaşa, Gençlerbirliği and Eyüpspor in Türkiye.

Ersen Martin, who also played for Recreativo Huelva of Spain for a short time, played 4 times for the A National Team.
