Arsenal F.C. secured the Premier League title on Sunday after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw away to AFC Bournemouth, ending Arsenal’s 22-year wait for the championship with one game remaining.

In the 37th round of the season, Bournemouth took the lead in the 39th minute through Kroupi before City salvaged a point with a stoppage-time equalizer from Erling Haaland in the 90+5th minute.

The result confirmed Arsenal as champions, while Manchester City secured second place in the standings. Bournemouth remained sixth.

Turkish international Enes Ünal came on as a substitute for Bournemouth in the 89th minute.

Arsenal last won the English top-flight title in 2004 and have now claimed the league crown for the 14th time in club history. Liverpool F.C. and Manchester United F.C. remain ahead with 20 titles each.

The North London side are also preparing for the UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain F.C., where they will seek the first European trophy in the club’s history.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola is set to finish a second consecutive season without a league title for the first time in his managerial career.
