Admittance to football stadiums from April 9 with e-tickets stored in Gov.gr Wallet
The admittance of spectators into stadiums for Super League 1 and Cup football matches will take place digitally and safely from April 9, as planned and implemented by the Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister for Sports Yannis Vroutsis.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' message was clear from the first: "Things in football had reached a point where we needed bolder interventions."
In addition to the new legislation to deal with delinquency and the modern electronic surveillance system (cameras), a new method for the admittance of spectators into stadiums will be launched, which can be viewed in detail at tickets.gov.gr.
The purchase of the ticket will continue to be carried out in exactly the same way as before. After being purchased, the ticket will henceforth be automatically "stored" in the Gov.gr Wallet, the digital wallet used by the state.
In order to safely enter stadiums, all sports fans must therefore download the Gov.gr Wallet app to their mobile phones.
