West Nile Virus kills 19 people

It was reported that 19 people died in Greece this year due to West Nile Virus.
According to the statement made by the Greek National Public Health Authority (EODY), 9 new cases of West Nile Virus were diagnosed in the last week.
In the statement, it was stated that the death toll rose to 19, and the virus was detected especially in Thessaly, Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia, Western Thrace, Western Macedonia and Epirus regions.
Experts assessed that the number of cases will increase in the coming months.
