After the extreme rainfall that hit the eastern Aegean over the past 24 hours, Greece is entering a period of stable and mild weather, according to the National Meteorological Service (EMY).
Weather: Northerly winds and no rain until the end of the week

Meteorologists say that from Wednesday through Sunday, November 16, conditions will remain mostly fair, with light northerly winds and temperatures typical for the season. Rain is not expected until the end of the week, offering what experts describe as a “welcome breather” following the recent severe weather.

“We’ll get a big ‘breather’ with no rain until the end of the week, light northerly winds, and seasonal temperatures,” said meteorologist Theodoros Kolydas.

Meanwhile, meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias highlighted the intensity of the recent rainfall in the eastern Aegean, describing it as “extreme.” In some coastal areas of Lesvos, he said, satellite data showed over 400 tons of water per stremma (10 acres) fell within hours — equivalent to four months’ worth of rain for the island.
