Varoufakis' twitter account hacked by Turkish hacker team

The Twitter account of the former Finance Minister of Greece, Yanis Varoufakis has been hacked by Turkish hacker team 'Ayyildiz Tim'.

In four tweets, the group published a video and three messages. Writing in Turkish the group said: “While you keep supporting PKK and FETO the attacks will continue!”

Another post, written in Turkish, was published at the 13.01pm GMT and included a video with a scene of a Turkish serie, saying 'We will also plant the Turkish flag in Athens, we will name it Atilla. Wait for the noble and warrior Turkish Nation'.  And the tweet was pinned to the top of Mr. Varoufakis’ profile to ensure it is the first post visible on his account.

The group has hacked the former Greek Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis’s twitter account in the past and the website of the United States Department of Defense.

The group also changed the background image of Varoufakis account to an image of an eagle and the hacker’s logo, as well as writing the group’s name in his description on the social media site.
