Turkish Trade Attaché Dr. Gülcan İren visits the Mayor of Kavala

The Commercial Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Selanik, Dr. Gülcan İren, paid an official visit to Kavala Mayor Theodoros Mouriadis on Friday, October 10.

During the meeting, Dr. İren and Mayor Mouriadis exchanged views on bilateral trade and investment relations between Greece and Türkiye.

The discussion reportedly took place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, focusing on ways to promote mutually beneficial trade and investment partnerships between the two neighboring countries.

Mayor Mouriadis highlighted Kavala’s outward-looking vision, noting that the city serves as a natural trade gateway for Southeastern Europe. He emphasized that this strategic geographic position makes Kavala an attractive hub for international commerce.

Dr. İren stated that the Turkish business community is open to cooperation, expressing interest in joint projects and investments that could strengthen the regional economy. She underlined that such initiatives would contribute both to economic growth and the creation of new employment opportunities.
