The distribution of TEBA products been completed
The three-day distribution of products to the beneficiaries of the Operational Program of Food and Basic Material Assistance of the European Aid Fund (TEBA/FEAD) by the Municipality of Komotini, which is the lead partner of the Social Partnership PE Rodopis, was completed at noon on Friday at the Multifunctional Center of the Municipality of Komotini.
From Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd March 1,720 beneficiaries received products in five bags (plus two for beneficiaries of baby products) on a specified day and time, by appointment. Of these, 40 people belonging to vulnerable groups as well as the elderly were delivered the products at home.
The beneficiaries received: fresh meat (beef, chicken), evaporated milk, olive oil, pasta, feta cheese, oranges, apples, rice, beans, lentils, sugar, tomato paste, liquid hand soap, shampoo, and baby items (baby diapers, baby wipes, milk powder, and cream rice flour).
In the whole distribution process of the products, all the prescribed health measures were observed this time by the Municipality of Komotini as well as by the beneficiaries. The Deputy Mayor of Social Affairs and Solidarity, Yiannis Mourtidis, was present, who coordinated the distribution of the products.
The staff of the Community Center with Roma Branch of the Municipality of Komotini and the program "Help at Home" contributed to the preparation and distribution of the goods in the work of the Social Service employees of the Municipality of Komotini.
The fresh products that are left over due to the non-attendance of the beneficiaries are given to the certified food banks of the Municipality of Komotini and the I. Metropolis of Maroneia and Komotini.
