Spring-like weather continues across Greece

A stretch of fair weather that began on Clean Monday remains in full swing, with sunny skies and seasonally mild temperatures prevailing across the country, according to Anastasia Tyraski, meteorologist at ERT.

Sunshine dominates nationwide today, with only limited cloud cover. Increased clouds were observed early in northern Crete, where light showers were briefly possible, but conditions are expected to improve fully by midday. Thin clouds will also develop over northern Greece without significantly affecting the overall weather pattern.

Morning hours have brought localized fog in inland areas due to elevated humidity. Northerly winds are blowing at 4 to 5 Beaufort in most seas, reaching up to 6 Beaufort in parts of the Aegean until midday.

Temperatures remain low early in the morning, with a noticeable chill, but will climb to between 15°C and 18°C in most mainland regions, locally reaching 19°C.

In Athens, sunny conditions are forecast with northerly winds of 4 to 5 Beaufort and highs of 17°C to 18°C. Thessaloniki will also see generally clear skies, with possible limited visibility early in the day and light winds, as temperatures rise to 15°C to 16°C.

The mild spell is expected to continue in the coming days. 
From Tuesday, cloud cover will increase slightly without significant rainfall, while temperatures may edge up to 20°C in parts of the mainland. 

On Wednesday, northerly winds in the Aegean will strengthen again to 5 to 6 Beaufort, bringing a slight drop in temperatures.

Light rain cannot be ruled out on Thursday and Friday in northern Greece, extending to Thessaly and the northern Aegean, though any rainfall is expected to remain limited.

Overall, Greece will maintain a spring-like pattern, with mild temperatures and no major weather disturbances in sight.
