Road accident on the Egnatia - killed while changing tyres

The driver of a car changing a tyre on the Egnatia motorway was dragged to his death by a truck.
A traffic accident occurred in Thessaloniki on Tuesday at dawn in which a driver was killed while changing a tyre.
According to information, the incident happened at around 2.30 am on the Egnatia Odos motorway, when a 59-year-old Romanian citizen encountered a problem with the tyre of his car and stopped to change it.
The 59-year-old man stopped his car off Kavala to change a tyre and was dragged by a truck driven by a 56-year-old man.
It was stated that the accident occurred due to insufficient lighting in the area.
The driver of the lorry was arrested within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Traffic Police Department.
