Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has appointed Professor Sotiris Serbos as his new adviser on foreign policy matters, the government announced.

Prof. Serbos, an associate professor of international politics at the Democritus University of Thrace, has an extensive background in both academia and public service. He has previously served as scientific director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a special adviser in various other ministries. In the past, he also worked as diplomatic adviser to PASOK party leader Nikos Androulakis.

A recognized figure in the field of international relations, Serbos recently ran as a candidate for the European Parliament under the ruling New Democracy (ND) party’s ticket.
