Police Οfficer accused of child rape
Shocking evidence has emerged in the investigation of a parliamentary police officer accused of raping his children. The complaint was filed by his wife, a police officer who has five children and is expecting a sixth.
Her first report to the police concerning her husband was made in February, but the officer appears to have persuaded her to withdraw the domestic violence complaint and seek criminal mediation by threatening suicide.
In November, the mother filed a second complaint alleging indecent assault against the family’s children.
The police officer is accused of assaulting his three daughters beginning when they were 5 years old, as well as indulging in disturbing behaviors with his son.
The female police officer, who endured the terror in her home from 2016 until November, went to work at the Hellenic Police Headquarters (GADA) as usual.
According to her colleagues, she had shown no signs of what was going on. The children testified in front of a child psychologist and recounted the nightmare they were experiencing. Forensic results are also apparently available.
Police stated the relevant prosecutor’s office has been informed about the case, and following their order, the minors were transferred to a hospital for a medical examination and placed in an appropriate facility.
Additionally, a forensic examination of the minors was ordered, to be conducted in the presence of a specialized psychologist.
It is important to note that in February, as well as a few days before the current complaint, the police officer had filed a lawsuit against her husband for incidents of domestic violence (both verbal and physical), which were also properly investigated.
In the first case, the policewoman withdrew her statement and requested criminal mediation, while in the latest case, she was provided with a “panic button” application and additional protection.
