PASOK leadership race: Second round candidates becoming clear according to new poll
The survey, conducted for Protagon.gr, shows that Haris Doukas and Nikos Androulakis are the frontrunners, with the third-place race being tightly contested between Anna Diamantopoulou and Pavlos Gerulanos.
This poll, based on responses from over 1,000 voters, reflects the opinions of those who plan to participate in the PASOK elections. The data indicates that Haris Doukas is viewed as the strongest candidate to bring PASOK back to power, with a support level approaching 51%. In contrast, Nikos Androulakis, Pavlos Gerulanos, and Anna Diamantopoulou have not surpassed 40%.
When respondents were asked, "Which candidate could lead PASOK back to power?" 50.6% chose Haris Doukas, while 40.2% selected Nikos Androulakis.
In the first round of voting, Androulakis and Doukas are leading with 25.6% and 23%, respectively. After distributing undecided voters, these figures rise to 26.4% for Androulakis and 24.6% for Doukas. Anna Diamantopoulou follows in third place with 19.4%, while Pavlos Gerulanos is fourth with 18.5%. Niki Giannakopoulou ranks fifth at 3.8%, and Mihalis Katrinis is sixth with 3.7%.
The poll suggests a close race between Androulakis and Doukas in the first round, with Androulakis seen as having a stronger second-round scenario.
