The warmer weather of the past few days will be giving way to winter once more, as temperatures drop back down to and below February averages next week.
According to the national weather service, EMY, the cold snap will start in northern Greece, where daytime highs will come to no more than 10 Celsius on the eastern lowlands on Monday.
That will then spread to the Sporades islands and Evia on Tuesday, as northerly winds pick up – hitting speeds of 6 Beaufort at sea – and drive temperatures down across the country, through Friday at least.
Many parts of Greece will also experience rain and occasional storms over the course of the week.
