Mitsotakis pledges to continue constructive cooperation with President Erdoğan

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining constructive cooperation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, emphasizing the importance of dialogue between Greece and Türkiye.
Speaking during an interview, Mitsotakis said his government would continue pursuing a positive and pragmatic relationship with Türkiye while defending Greece's national interests and seeking stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
He noted that communication channels between Athens and Ankara remain open and stressed that cooperation on issues of mutual interest should continue despite existing disagreements.
Relations between Greece and Türkiye have improved in recent years through high-level diplomatic contacts, confidence-building measures and cooperation in areas including migration, trade and civil protection.
